Planned automation

Automation features that are planned but not part of FOLD today.

This page lists automation features that are planned. None of them is available in the current version, and there are no release dates. The page changes when a feature ships.

Shortcuts and App Intents

FOLD does not offer actions for the Shortcuts app yet. You cannot, for example, start a search, create a message or run your rules from a shortcut or from Siri. Support through App Intents is planned.

Widgets

FOLD has no widgets yet: none for the Home Screen, the Lock Screen or the Mac desktop. Widgets are planned.

What exists today

  • Filter rules act on new mail and, on request, on the mail already on your device.
  • The command line is available as a developer preview. It is not shipped with the app and does not share data with it.

Also not available

Rules cannot forward messages or send automatic replies yet, and FOLD does not manage server-side rules such as Sieve filters.
